Important Notice 

If you're coming from Cape Town, it's advisable to plan at least 2 hours of travel time, especially during peak hours. If you manage to avoid traffic and arrive ahead of schedule, feel free to relax and enjoy a refreshing beverage at one of the restaurants located at Imhoff Farm.

(Please note that this outride departs from the Stables in Kommetjie AND NOT from Noordhoek Beach)

Directions from the V&A Waterfront:

  • Take the M3 - 22km
  • Turn right onto the M42.
  • Turn left onto the M64 - OU KAAPSE WEG. Follow the road over the mountain - Do not turn off to NOORDHOEK.
  • Pass the 1st set of traffic lights - Pick & Pay.
  • Turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights onto the M65 to KOMMETJIE.
  • IMHOFF FARM is 5 km on the right hand side opposite OCEAN VIEW. 
  • Turn right into the parking.
  • Stables are straight ahead of you behind the black gate.

Outride departure time & check-in time at stable 

Arriving ½ an hour before the ride is crucial to ensure sufficient time for completing your indemnity form, fitting your helmet, assigning horses, and meeting your guide.
Please note that the company does not provide refunds for no-shows or delayed arrivals.

10h00 booking (Check in 09h30 sharp)
12h00 booking (Check in 11h30 sharp)
15h00 booking (Check in 14h30 sharp)

 

What to wear?

Long pants, such as denims or trousers, but not too tight.

No dresses, shorts, bikinis or swimwear.

Friction from bare legs and the saddle moving from the horse's natural motion leaves the rider with uncomfortable pinches down the legs.

Sturdy closed shoes or boots - no sandals or flip flops. They're great for vacations, but not for horseback riding.
Flip flops are a safety hazard while riding.

Don't forget your sunglasses, and be sure to bring sunblock in the summer!

Please bring a raincoat, jacket, or windbreaker, as the Cape weather can be unpredictable.

Please ensure that you wear appropriate clothing as stipulated. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of your ride at most stables.

Terms and Conditions

  • Please arrive early. Late arrivals for your scheduled departure time disrupt our operations and negatively impact clients waiting to begin their tour or booked for the next time slot.

    *12h00 booking (Arrive 11h30 sharp)
    *15h00 booking (Arrive 14h30 sharp)

  • No refunds or rescheduling of trips will be granted for no-shows or late arrivals.
  • Rates include an experienced guide on the trail.
  • This is an adventure activity, therefore we have a strict no drinking policy prior to the tour. We reserve the right to prevent guests suspected of alcohol consumption from joining the tour.
  • Liability: We are not liable for personal injury, death, damage to property or other loss arising from an accident, cancellation, delay, or any other matter beyond our control. Participants must insure against all such possibilities.

Cancellation Policy

  • We understand that plans may change and will do our best to accommodate you. Please review our cancellation policy below.
  • Cancellations are only valid if received in writing. All cancellation fees are non-refundable and apply as follows:
    • 30+ days prior to the scheduled activity: 20% of total fare
    • 15-29 days prior to the scheduled activity: 60% of total fare
    • 7-14 days prior to the scheduled activity: 80% of total fare
    • 0-6 days prior to the scheduled activity: 100% of total fare
  • No-shows, late arrivals, or incomplete activities will be charged in full, and no rescheduling will be permitted.
  • Cancellation terms may vary during peak seasons.
  • If WE cancel due to unsafe weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain, lightning, strong winds, or extreme heat), participants may reschedule or receive a full refund.
  • Refunds or rescheduling may also be granted, at management’s discretion, upon valid proof of illness, hospitalisation, accident, or death.
