Embark on a breathtaking multi-day riding adventure that winds through the fynbos-covered mountains and along the pristine beaches of the Cape’s southern coast. This unforgettable 3-day, 4-night trail offers an incredible blend of mountain, forest, and ocean scenery — the perfect escape for riders who crave both tranquility and adventure.
Your journey begins at Farm215, where the trail meanders through Flower Valley, a UNESCO-supported conservation project dedicated to sustainable fynbos harvesting and education. Ride through lush valleys, along the tranquil Kraaibosch Dam, and over rugged ridgelines before arriving at Witkrans Farm, your peaceful retreat for the night.
On Day 2, explore the diverse beauty of Grootbos Fynbos Nature Reserve and the mystical sand drifts of Die Plaat, where endless dunes meet the sea. Continue along the unspoilt beaches of Walker Bay, one of the world’s best whale-watching sanctuaries. From June to December, Southern Right whales and their calves can often be seen just metres from shore. Feel the thrill of a gallop along the wide, empty coastline before arriving at Stanford River Lodge, where you can unwind with a swim or paddle on the river.
Day 3 takes you on the longest and most rewarding leg of the journey — a 37 km ride back to Farm215, crossing dunes, beaches, and two mountain ranges. It’s a day filled with sweeping vistas, exhilarating rides, and the quiet satisfaction of returning to where your adventure began.
With every step, this trail captures the untamed beauty of the Cape’s coast and mountains — a truly soul-stirring experience for any nature-loving rider.

Arrive early. Late arrivals disrupt our operations and affect other clients waiting for their tour or next booking.

No spectators allowed – only paying guests allowed on the trail.
Transfers to the venue are not included, please enquire for cost thereof.
Rates include an experienced guide on the trail.
This trail is only for experienced riders who are confident and comfortable at the trot and canter; physically fit and prepared for long hours in the saddle under an African sun.
Trail saddles are used on this outride.
Trail has 2 half days for relaxation and body rejuvenation.
Travel medical insurance and sun protection are a must.
Accommodation sites may change depending on availability.
This is an adventure activity; therefore, we have a strict no drinking policy prior to the tour. We reserve the right to prevent guests suspected of alcohol consumption from joining the tour.
Riding hats are supplied and are compulsory, but if you have your own, please bring it along.
Half chaps are available, but it is recommended that you bring your own.

We do not accept liability for personal injuries, fatalities, property damage, or any other losses that may occur due to accidents, cancellations, delays, or circumstances beyond our control. Participants are urged to obtain insurance coverage to protect against these potential risks.
Cancellations are valid only when received in writing from the participant.
The full (accommodation) price is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival or –in the case of reservations made less than 6 weeks before arrival- a week after the invoice date.
Cancellation fees will be scaled as follows and are non-refundable:
7 - 30 days prior to arrival: 50% of full accommodation payable. 0 - 7 days prior to arrival: 100% of full accommodation payable. Administrative fee: 20% of total booking price.Provisional bookings expire after 14 days for bookings made 40 plus days prior to arrival date unless confirmed within such period.
Provisional bookings expire after 7 days for bookings made less than 40 days prior to arrival date unless confirmed within such period.
No provisional bookings are accepted 20 or less days prior to arrival.
